Welcome to Mile 59.02 MacTier Sub.

Watching Trains in Cochrane.

Here we are back in Cochrane again watching trains. Seen here is the tri-weekly northbound Little Bear, the daily southbound sleeper train the "Northland" with 25 cars and 3 locomotives, followed by a repainted TEE train with an extra unit on the point.

Railfanning enroute to Sudbury: I travelled  through Sudbury, Ontario in December of 2003. I didn't get any nice shots of a train during the whole trip. Anyways, here is what I would love to have seen. An extra CPRail acid train southbound to Toronto from the ONR in North Bay. The ONRail unit was left on as CP was short of power for the train. We see it here at Woods Road, just north of Nobel, Ontario. Here the rail line makes a large sweeping curve as it carves it's way through the Canadian Shield and numberous swamps.
