| Whatever your religious, philosophical, or scientific background may be, all of us must agree that we have only one earth. And, much like your own home, if you fail to keep it clean, it will eventually look and smell so bad that it will become unliveable. When we were kids, most of us had parents that would constantly hound us to "clean our rooms". Maybe we didn't know what all the fuss was about, but we did it to avoid the unpleasant consequences of a disappointed parent (getting grounded, losing tv priveleges, etc.). Eventually we "grew up" and had kids of our own only to find ourselves asking the same chore of them because we would sooner or later stub our toe on an errant toy, fail to successfully navigate the mine field of a child's cluttered room, or spend a good half-hour trying to get gum out of the carpet.
This earth is the home of the human family (not to mention the animals, birds, fishes, etc.). Whether you believe in a God or in Mother Nature, these "parents" unfailingly exact consequences of us when we don't take care of our home. Sometimes these consequences take a while to show up, but they ALWAYS show up! They're showing up now at an alarming rate. Acid rain, global warming, toxic drinking water, smog, extreme weather patterns, rampant disease, disappearing species, dangerously tainted food crops, overflowing landfills -- take your pick.
We believe the key to a fruitful symbiotic relationship with our home consists of two elements: learning and doing. First, learn what you can do to take care of our home (that's where SunWater comes in). Second, do it! It's going to take a "group" effort to reverse the negative effects of the years and years of irresponsible stewardship, but if each one of us does just a little it will become a lot.
Because of the sheer magnitude of information there is to learn, SunWater could never do all of it justice on our small website. Therefore, in addition to a bit of introduction and technical tidbits, we also provide a set of links to other informational websites dedicated to specific topics of interest. We've grouped these into general subject areas. Simply click on one of the buttons or titles above. Choose the one that interests you the most, and then GO AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE! May God bless you in your efforts! :)
