Candied
Yams
Heat 1 large can of yams
with syrup from can in heavy sauce pan. ( Or peel and slice fresh sweet
potatoes and cook until tender in 1 c water. Be sure there is about ¾ c
liquid remaining after cooking.)
Add:
½ c white sugar
½ stick butter
½ c brown sugar
¼ t cinnamon
Cook until liquid is medium
syrup consistency.
Pour into baking dish.
Add ½ c minaiature
marshmallows on top. You may need a few more to cover evenly.
Bake at 350o until
marshmallows melt and are golden brown
