Doughnuts-Wilma Tarter
Mix:
3 ½ c flour
4 t baking powder
2 T butter
1 c sugar
1 t soda
2 eggs
½ t salt
½ t vanilla
1 c buttermilk
¼ t nutmeg (optional)
Chill dough.
Divide dough in thirds.
Roll out dough to ½” thickness
on floured board.
Deep fry.
Sprinkle with xxx sugar while hot
or dip in glaze.
