Strawberry Dessert-Joan Mack
Mix and place in 10x13” pan:
1 c butter
½ c chopped nuts
¼ c brown sugar
1 c plain White Lily flour
Bake at 350o until mixture starts to
brown. Stir into fine crumbs, stirring often. Cool. Save ½ c for topping.
Filling:
Mix 1 (10 oz) box frozen strawberries,2
unbeaten egg whites, 1 T lemon juice and 1 c sugar in
large bowl Beat 20 min at high speed. Add 2 T vanilla to 1 c
whipped cream. Fold into strawberry mixture. Pour into crust. Top with
vanilla wafer crumbs. Freeze 24 hours.
