Christmas Cookies
Mix:
1 c butter
1 t soda
2 t cream of tartar
½ t salt
1 c sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ c plain White Lily
flour
When well mixed. Place about 2
cups of mixture on well floured dough board. Roll out and cut into shapes
with cookie cutters. Transfer cookies from dough board to cookie pans
sprayed with Pam using a spatula. This is very important or your cookies
will lose their shapes. Bake for 10 min at 375o. Watch
cookies carefully and remove from oven as soon as the bottoms start to
show brown. The top of the cookie should be firm to the touch but still
white.
Remove with another spatula to
counter top to cool.
Icing:
1 T butter
1 lb xxx sugar
enough cream to make
the icing firm.
Food Coloring as you choose
Place icing in pastry bags and
decorate as you like.
May sprinkle with sprinkles.
