Hard Candy-Sue Helmbrecht

Boil in heavy saucepan to very hardball stage:

3 ¾ c sugar    

1 ½ c white Karo

1 c water

Remove from heat.

After boiling ceases, add 1 t Loran flavoring and food coloring. We like cinnamon flavor

and red food color  best. Pour on greased cookie sheet. Cool. Break into pieces.

Roll pieces in xxx sugar and store in airtight container.
