White
Chocolate Cake
Melt 4 oz of white chocolate in 1 c boiling
water.
Cool
Cream 1 c butter and 2 c sugar until
fluffy.
Add 4 egg yolks. Blend
Add chocolate mixture. Blend
Add 1 t vanilla. Blend
Add mixture of 2 ½ c plain White Lily flour, 1
t salt, 1 t baking soda alternately
with 1 c buttermilk.
Blend well.
Fold in 4 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake 30-40 min at 350o.
Rich White Chocolate Frosting
Melt 4 oz white chocolate
Blend in 1 c xxx sugar.
Add dash salt and 2 T hot water.
Add 1 egg yolk and beat well.
Add 2 T soft butter.
Add 1 t vanilla.
Blend well after adding each ingredient.
Double the recipe to cover entire cake. This recipe
only makes enough to cover the tops of the layers.
