Rhubarb Dessert Cake-Annabelle

Cream 1 ½ c sugar and ½ c butter.
Beat in 1 egg
Add 2 c plain flour
1 t soda
1 t salt
1 c buttermilk
Fold in 2 c finely chopped rhubarb
Add 1 t vanilla
Place in 11x 8” pan.
Topping
Combine ½ t cinnamon, ½ t nutmeg, and ½
c nuts. Sprinkle over cake
Bake 30-35 min at 350o
