Better Than Sex Cake (also called Hawaiian Royalty Cake)

Bake one box  yellow cake mix with pudding in the mix in 9x14 pan to box directions.

Drain off ¼ c pineapple juice from 1 large can crushed pineapple. Save the juice.

Mix pineapple and remaining juice with 1 c sugar. Heat in microwave until hot.

Add 1 T cornstarch to the ¼ reserved pineapple juice and stir thoroughly. Add to hot mixture. Pour over hot cake. Let stand to cool. Mix up 1 small box instant vanilla pudding by package directions. Spread over cool cake. Sprinkle with ¾ c chopped pecans. Top with 12 oz pkg of Cool Whip. Sprinkle 1 small pkg angel flake coconut over cool whip.

You can also make homemade vanilla pudding instead of the box brand and you can use real whipped cream instead of Cool Whip.
