New England Spoon Bread

 

 

Pour 2 c boiling water over 2 c white corn meal.  Mix well.

Add 3 egg yolks, 1 ½ c milk, 4 T melted butter, 4 t baking powder and 1 t salt.  Beat thoroughly.

Fold in 3 stiff egg whites.

Pour into a well buttered and heated casserole dish.

Bake 30 min at 350o
