Battlefield 1942, Ea's latest wargames where u can play german, allied and russian.
Capturing the enemy's posts and controlling them over time gives u points, or rather, counts down his points more rapidly.
With different types of soldiers, (machinegun, scout, medic, ) and very interresting vehicles such as tanks, submarines, carriers, bombers, artillery, jeeps, ... the list is pretty long.

Althought the game is based on the rules that once you die, you have to wait a certain spawn time before u can re-enter the game, it risks becoming boring for players who die easily, but with small spawn-timers, the risk is minimized easily.

This multiplayer-focused expansion pack gives you more of what you demand from the original Battlefield 1942, including more maps, more vehicles, and more fighting forces.
The Road to Rome focuses exclusively on the key Italian and Sicilian campaigns of WWII. Battlefield 1942: The large number of possible vehicles, the maps, and probably that it is based on one of the largest and most burtal wars mankind can remember. It allows you to explore teamwork on a massive scale, but allows enough personal freedom to not get trapped by certain patterns of attack, like with counterstrike, where every corner, en sniperline is mapped.
It doesn't help setting the spawntimer high, or being excluded for a few minutes when u die, like with cs, to keep the game interesting.
One of the best massive multiplayer games of this time.
