- An extra vision
01-05-03 - An extra vision
Of late, I have undergone an adjustment in my views
on pen spinning and life as a whole. Many people, mostly beginners,
take the lazy way out and decide to quit. This might not just be
in pen spinning; it could be in anything, baseball, magic, or even
that new diet that you were on.
One thing that I have heard about a lot through
my life is, “Knowledge is more important than power”.
Some say that knowledge is power, but I will talk about that later.
You may know somebody in your life that has the knowledge to do
many things. They might be able to become amazing at pen spinning
or they might be a great world leader, but let me emphasise the
world “might”. Many know how to become the best, but
very few actually use their knowledge and make it happen. What would
happen to society if people knew how to make things, but were too
lazy to actually ever do it?
What good is knowledge if you don’t use it?
If you are the person that is receiving A grades at school. If you
are the person that makes others go, “wow”. Make sure
that you use that power, many have it, but very few use it! Now,
as I said earlier, some say that knowledge is power. I disagree.
Knowledge is potential power. It only becomes power when you do
something with it. You hear all the time of stars and TV personalities
that have had “trouble” in their lives. But these have
come through. These have used their knowledge to succeed and they
have let nothing stop them
“Please, let nothing stop you from getting
at what you want to do or become. “
Just think about what I have just written in that sentence. There
may be many things that stop you from achieving that you cannot
change, for example disability. But I am using the sentence on a
broad and motivational scale. The chances are, that there are many
things in your life that you would like to improve on. The chances
are that you can, at times, become too lazy; to complete the tasks
needed to achieve to become good enough so that you are happy with
your efforts. The chances are that if you went out there and did
them that you would excel in whatever it was. The chances are that
you could become a role model. What good is knowledge if you don’t
use it?
