The debut production for GCP tackles the tough topic of drugs, friends, family and relationships in Breathe. A poignant play that takes a look into the genealogy of peer pressure and the impact of idle choices. The two main protagonist adolescents, Trey and Chad, front their quest for acceptance in life amongst their peers head on. Their conflicting differences create a moral rift between the two best friends, but they continue to refuse to fight the worsening problems, and their situation deteriorates exponentially. First performed in late 2001 as a research contract by writer/director/actor David Burton, Breathe received glowing reviews from students, teachers and audiences alike.

| "I think that the ability of young actors to meld in such a way with the subject matter makes this a stark portrait of the younger generational struggle and an extremely moving play." John Jaccobs - Drama Dept. Deakin University, Melbourne |
