My yamaha is a 1979 XS-400 (XS-400-F I
think). The reason for the -F designation would be front and rear
spoked rims and front and rear drum brakes. It was in rough condition
when I bought it for $25 from a guy who didn't use it and left it
sitting in his yard for a few years. When I got it, the engine was
siezed, but only took a wrench on the end of the crank to break it
free. With a new battery and cleaning out the carbs, it ran like new!
It looks as though it was tipped as some point because of some
scratches and dents, plus one engine mount was broken.
