The first thing you need to remember is most peoples machines are set to a resolution of 800x600. That means you have to create a home page at 750x550. This is just for your important information. You can however have a home page that is 750x550+ but you have to make sure that all of the important information is within that 750x550 rectangle.

Then next thing you have to think about is your images. This goes for buttons, headers, or any other images you might have on your site. There are 2 file types that are excepted on the web they are .JPG and .GIF. A .JPG is a file type that allows you to compress an image to speed it's download time on the web it is typacally used for images with gradiations or lots of color changes. A .GIF file is mostly used for transparent GIF's or for images that don't use many gradients (Like Logos). The .GIF file allows you to control how many colors are going to display.It also uses RGB web safe colors.

If you have an image you MUST make sure that it is in RGB format. If you have an image and it's in CMYK format then the image WILL NOT display on the web regardless of the file type.

Also when you are creating an image you have to make sure that there are NO spaces in between words. If you feel like you can read the files better with a space then use an _ this key stroke is "Shift" + -. This is called an "Underscore." This also apply's to HTML pages. If you have a space anywhere in your code the Internet will ad a %20 in the area where the space is. This causes a problem because your document name doesn't have a %20 in it's name so the computer will not find that file. Just make sure you DO NOT have spaces any where in your code.
