Setting up your FTP access is very important. You will have different user names and passwords for different accounts. Keep them written down and stored away just in case your computer crashes or you some how lose the information in your FTP,
How to set up an FTP account in DreamWeaver.

1)
Select "Site", "New Site" from the top menus in DreamWeaver
2)
Name the site as you would like it to display in your list of sites using this dialog box. This is just so you know what site you are going to be editing in the future.
3)
Select your local folder that contains your web site on your computer by using this dialog box. (this folder is the one that contains all of your HTML and image files. Click here for file hierarchy) Select that folder by clicking the folder icon on the right and browsing for that folder.
4)
Give the HTTP address where your site is going to be located on the web by using this area.
5)
On the left side of the screen under "Category" Select "Remote Info" like so.
6)
Choose "FTP" from the drop down box.Llabeled "Access:"
7)
In the "FTP Host" section type the name of the FTP Host. In this class it is wave.prohosting.com
8)
You can skip the "Host Directory" unless your FTP account requires you to have it listed.
9)
Enter your "Login" ours for this class is art256 all in lower case
10)
Enter your "Password" if you don't know our password e-mail me here.
11)
Click "Test" to see if the settings you have entered are correct.

If you're having trouble with the site these are some probabilities.
1) You might have the wrong "User Name" or "password."
2) You might have the wrong casing for your "User Name" or "Password"
3) You might have entered the wrong "FTP Host."
4) You might have a "Firewall" issue. Either the machine you are on has a "firewall" or the machine you are connecting to has one.
