As people in general become more and more disconnected from the harsh realities of natural life (i.e. are not exposed to hunger, the elements, suffering, and the true nature of death; thanks to our growing and expanding technology) they, unfortunately, tend to lose much of their common sense and knowledge of these matters. Many kids, nowadays, are often raised to be totally spoiled and naive brats who ‘mature’ (using that term very loosely) into equally spoiled and naive ‘adults’. They grow up with their faces glued to TV sets depicting 'cute fuzzy animals' that can talk, have feelings, and act just like people do, and they shut out reality while no one ever bothers to teach them what is really important and true in life and what is actually just trivial, misleading, and/or completely false. These young people wind up lacking the basic understanding of and respect for other people, nature, and life itself that is so important to have in order to develop good strong morals, ethics, and a desire to practice good behavior towards other people in society. In the beginning, they tend to become bored very easily and seek out (or create) and attach themselves to certain 'themes', concepts, or groups that appeal to them, excite them, give them a 'rush', make them feel more powerful and/or superior to other people, give them a sense of ‘belonging’, ‘fitting in’, and/or ‘being cool’; although such things are usually just trivial and meaningless fantasies, and often turn out to be harmful (both to themselves and to others) in the long run, especially when reality fails to set into their minds. This process, I believe, is how most nonsense 'causes' such as 'animals rights' are spawned. It is a fact that almost all ARAs are 'urbanites' who have lived very sheltered/indoor lives; were born and raised in big-city or suburban areas and tend to stick to the urban environments as much as possible throughout their entire pitiful lives; they remain totally clueless about the harsh realities of nature as well as its many wonders. Also, just for the record, most ARAs are white, middle- to upper-class, and are either female or gay-male. Regardless, though, it is a very pitiful state of affairs, in my humble opinion, when we have any significant number people who are more concerned about 'animal rights' than they are about human rights and all of the other worthwhile causes out there that exist to help people AND animals around the world, which actually need and deserve serious support and funding, but are being ignored or neglected by these people who claim to be 'helping to make the world a better place'. Furthermore, ARAs have proven that they are not only just a nuisance to good law-abiding omnivorous people, but they are also a genuine threat to our freedom as well as to our safety! Many of them are prone to physical destruction of property and/or violence against people who disagree with them and refuse to conform to their strict (and rather insane) standards of eating, living, and thinking.
