WHAT SAID:

Hooker tries to avert a war between independant truckers and a produce wholesaler who's been sabotaging their trucks.

SYNOPSIS:

Jack Pappas, an independent trucker, along with his daughter Mary and their pet orangutan, Venus, have been arrested by a big-shot union trucker, Al Tanner. When Al and his henchman, Morgan, sabotage Zack's produce, he goes after them in his truck. Morgan shoots Zack in the shoulder. Hooker and Romano, who are in the neighborhood, arrive in time to capture Morgan. Tanner then arranges for a professional killer to go after Zack. While he and Mary are at a truck stop, Keller rigs their brakes. Learning of this, Hooker and Romano go after them, arriving just in time to rescue Mary and Zack from their overturned truck. With Romano's help, Mary is able to give a good description of Keller and Hooker is able to trace the brake job back to Keller and Tanner. Hooker and Romano are called to a meeting at Tanner's warehouse. Morgan, who cracks under questioning by Hooker, points the finger at Tanner who immediately pulls a gun. Hooker overtakes him and he and Romano set off after Mary, having learned that she was setup by Keller again. They arrive just in time to capture Keller and save Mary.
