Characters
Squall Leonhart

Keeping a somewhat quiet profile,
this expressionless and distant teenager devotes his future development
in Balamb. Though his ambition isn't shortsided, his team spirit is very
much lacking. Equipped with a gunblade, a combined sword and gun, and
eager to join the elite military organization known as SeeD, Squall is
thrown into the mysterious conspiracy of rivalry in a world soon to be
plaqued by chaos.
Zell Dincht

Growing up as an undisciplined
"rich boy", Zell joined the Balamb Military Academy at the
ripe age of 13 to follow in his grandfather's footsteps as a proud and
powerful soldier. His honor and integrity fit his military ideals like a
glove. Though he may be short tempered, Zell does possess a thick
sense-of-humor. Through his rough attitude and stagnant experience, Zell
is a martial arts master and powerful warrior.
Irvine Kinneas

A loner from Galbadia Garden, Irvine
is known throughout SeeD as being the best sharpshooter. His impressive
shooting accuracy and gun skills are unmatched and seem as equally tuned
as his reputation with the ladies. Irvine accompanies Squall and his
party on a SeeD mission where his skills are required. Although Irvine
appears cool and collected on the outside, his sensitivity and
seriousness make him charming.
Quistis Trepe

Joining SeeD at the ripe young age
of 15, Quistis' excellent fighting abilities quickly earned her a
position at the Garden as a teacher. Well respected throughout the
academy, Quistis' devoted students huddle together as "Trepies."
Though she has a bold and sharp exterior, her soul is wretched with
frustration that makes her vulnerable to the sorrow deep within her
heart.
Rinoa Heartilly

Although somewhat shy, Rinoa is very
straightforward and honest with those around her. Her tenderness,
warm-hearted nature, and kind compassion makes her very endearing. She
originates from a forest town called Timber, fighting for their
independence against the control from Galbadia. Her initial contact with
SeeD starts through Seifer, but her feelings become more directed
towards someone else.
Seifer Almasy

Though his skills make him a
powerful warrior, his lack of authority and incredibly high ego feed his
irresponsibility, eventually losing his right to join SeeD. He considers
Squall his rival and continually "shows off" in order to ease
the pain of his own failure. Head of Balamb Garden's Disciplinary
Committee, Seifer is more of a bully than a true law enforcer.
Selphie Tilmitt

Although she exhibits brute force
and total devotion to SeeD, Selphie's kind heart and laid-back attitude
seem inexhaustable. Transfering from Trabia Garden, Selphie quickly
blends in with her new surroundings. Selphie becomes easily intimidating
to Squall by exhibiting a fiesty flare, but her courageous, take-charge
personage become respected among her classmates and the group.
Sorceress Edea

A mysterious sorceress obsessed with
power. Her lure of control has strongly grasped the Galbadian Army,
shifting an enormous amount of power in their favor. With the army at
her command and a government conspiracy surrounding her name, the world
is gripped in confusion and terror. Her plans are unknown, yet SeeD has
learned of her reign and are dispatched to eliminate her.
Laguna Loire

Once a proud Galbadian soldier,
Laguna later becomes a successful and determined journalist. Among his
friends and comrades, Laguna is a well-respected and optimistic figure,
fueled with a passion to assist those in need and fight those who force
oppression. His good heart and genuine ambition fall prey to a much
bigger concern in his life... Where is Elle?
Ward Zaback

Sporting a scar as a result of an
old war injury and looking rough and tough on the exterior, Ward has a
kind heart and follows closely with his friends and comrades, Laguna and
Kiros.
Kiros Seagul

A close friend to Laguna and devoted
comrade, serving alongside him in the Galbadia Army. Though more refined
than Ward, Kiros' faith and trust is an equal component of their overall
companionship.
Fujin & Raijin
Though mostly quiet and only
spurting loud, single words as a means of communication, Fujin has the
strength, power, and demeanor of any male warrior. She stands beside
Seifer and Raijin as an element of their "posse." However,
Raijin is very outspoken, rash, and self-centered. Also a part of
Balamb's Disciplinary Committee, Raijin tags along with his posse to
enforce Garden rules.
